¿Kaalamega Karigindhi..? es el nombre de una película musical hindú, agradable, que tiene una atmósfera adolescente. El argumento recuerda otras memorables comedias románticas que disfrutamos en nuestra juventud. Narra la historia de Phanim, quien muchos años luego de haber abandonado su aldea, regresa, quizás acuciado por la nostalgia, a reencontrarse con su pasado y con quien había sido su primer amor.
Su antiguo y primer amor era Bindu. Lo que había terminado en una suerte de común acuerdo podía ahora, quizás, tomar otro rumbo. ¿Puede el amor tener segundas oportunidades? Ese es el nudo central de la trama.
Singara Mohan, su director, es un cineasta independiente sin formación académica en cine, pero que ha obtenido un reconocimiento internacional interesante. Fue muy galardonado su cortometraje experimental titulado "Una cita en la oscuridad". Fu su ópera prima y se realizó íntegramente durante la pandemia, siguiendo las medidas de confinamiento de la India. "Kaalamega Karigindhi..?" es su primer largometraje de cine convencional, que se estrenó en cines de la India el 21 de marzo de 2025.
Recienteente, ¿Kaalamega Karigindhi..? fue selección oficial en el 12th Music Film Festival, que se llevó a cabo en Argentina.
Kaalamega Karigindhi..? is the name of a Hindu musical film, nice, which has an adolescent atmosphere. The plot is reminiscent of other memorable romantic comedies that we enjoyed in our youth. It tells the story of Phanim, who many years after having abandoned his village, returns, perhaps driven by nostalgia, to rediscover his past and with whom he had been his first love.
His old and first love was Bindu. What had ended in a sort of mutual agreement could now, perhaps, take another course. Can love have a second chance? That’s the core of the plot.
Singara Mohan, its director, is an independent filmmaker with no academic film training, but who has obtained interesting international recognition. Award-winning experimental short film "A Date in the Dark". It was his first film and was made entirely during the pandemic, following India’s lockdown measures. "Kaalamega Karigindhi.?" is his first mainstream feature film, which premiered in Indian cinemas on 21 March 2025.
Recently, Kaalamega Karigindhi..? was the official selection at the 12th Music Film Festival, held in Argentina.
