Interlude
"Interlude" has a poetic intention. It is a short well-structured and oriented to a nostalgic perspective of a situation that may be autobiographical. Apparently inspired by a familiar situation, but not his own, Jesaiah Burnett recounts, around a melody composed by the protagonist, a sad and melancholy story, but with a hopeful ending.
From a technical point of view, the achieved aesthetic is effective and has an almost religious tint that is fundamental to the desired perspective. A widower, he tries to regain his vital energy and reconcile himself with life by participating in a local music competition. After years away from music, tormented by loss, with the only company of a dog, with his aged hands that no longer respond effectively, seeks sufficient energy and inspiration to complete a work that is more of a tribute to the lost woman than a search for artistic recognition.

Jesaiah Burnett, is an award-winning filmmaker and writer with a background in short films and documentaries. "Interlude" has no dialogue and all its emotional force is supported by music and images.
